Alternatives to Oil Free Anti-Aging Facial Moisturizer

Are you frustrated with your face cream?  You use it to help your dry skin problems but you find it leaves your skin feeling greasy and clogs your pores.  You may think the only way to go is with an oil free anti-aging facial moisturizer, but I have found that isn’t necessary.

See I used to be like you, and hated the creasy feeling my moisturizer gave me, so I treid to go with an oil free anti-aging facial moisturizer, and found it didn’t do the job of helping with my dry skin.

I now know there are bad oils and good oils for my skin and I need to be sure the facial moisturizer I use has the good oils in them and not the bad. Let’s look at the bad one you find in most skin care products.

This is definitely not something you want to have added to your skin care products. Why put yourself at risk for cancer when there are better oils to use on your dry skin.

Now for the good oils.  There are several to look for. I’ll tell you about a couple of them here that I find most useful.

The first one is grapeseed oil.  This one is a powerful antioxidant that creates an invisible film on your skin to keep moisture in.  It is easily absorbed by into the skin so you don’t have that greasy oily feeling or unnatural sheen to your face.

The antioxidant abilities fight the oxidation of the free radicals that is one reason our skin begins to show its age faster than we’d like.  Face it we live in a world with a lot of pollution and our skin shows the effect of the atmosphere just like the rest of our body does.  Grapeseed oil is one substance that will help us in our fight against the damage.

Avocado oil is another good oil.  This is deeply hydrating and has been scientifically founded to stimulate production of collagen, which is beneficial in your fight against wrinkles and fine lines.

It also helps if the sun has damaged your skin.  It will regenerate and rejuvenate sun-damaged skin to make it healthy again.  It has been shown to relieve the dryness and itching of skin diseases like psoriasis and eczema.

Even with the good oils they should be cold pressed.  If they are refined they are stripped of their vital nutrients and won’t do your skin much good.  So check out how they are processed also.

Know that you know you don’t have to go through life using an oil free anti-aging facial moisturizer when you deal with dry skin, you may want to know how to find the best products to use on your skin. Check out my skin anti aging   web site to find lots of good information about skin care.  There are lots of good alternatives to oil free anti-aging facial moisturizer.

Six Guidelines to Follow for How to Make Skin Look Younger

Are you searching for how to make skin look younger?  All of us desire to have the best looking complexion and striving to look younger is one way to accomplish that.  Young skin is soft and smooth without fine lines and wrinkles.  Who wouldn’t want to have that goal?

There are some guidelines to use in your quest of how to make skin look younger.  I will give you a few of these and you can be on your way to a younger looking you.

1)      Eat nutritious food with plenty of fruits and vegetables. Our skin needs nourishment just like the rest of our body.  Getting it from the inside out is a sure way to keep our skin healthy.

2)      If you smoke, stop smoking. Smoking is not only bad for our bodies, but also our skin.  Tobacco smoke contains thousands of chemicals.  When the smoke comes into contact with our skin, oxidation occurs, which causes free radicals.  This is one of the reasons smoker’s skin gets a yellowish tone and becomes real dry.

3)      Stay away from creams and lotions that contain chemicals. Chemicals are harsh and can irritate your complexion.  In addition to this, many chemicals are toxic and known to be cancer causing.

4)      Instead use natural products that are plant based.  This will help nourish your skin from the outside in.  Combining this with a healthy diet full of vitamins and minerals from fruits and veggies is a win win situation for younger looking skin.

5)      Don’t use mineral oil, paraffin wax, liquid paraffin, or petrolatum on your skin.  These will clog your pores, interfering with your skin’s natural ability to eliminate toxins.  This will harm your body as well as cause you many skin problems such as acne.  It will also build up under the skin preventing you from absorbing essential vitamins and minerals.

6)      Also stay away from alcohols of any kind, except stearyl and cetearyl alcohol, which are waxes and have nothing in common with other alcohols.  If you are plagued with dry skin, you might check to see if what you are using now on your skin contains alcohol.  This is one ingredient that surely will leave you with dry flaky skin that can defeat your goal of younger looking skin.

If you follow the guidelines above for how to make skin look younger, you will be quite amazed at the outcome.  If you can’t find good natural products locally check out my skin anti aging web site.  You’ll find what products I use, and lots of good information about skin care.

When You Buy Fish Oil Shop For One With High Amounts of DHA

When you buy fish oil supplements be sure you are getting the best ones available.  The benefit of supplementing your diet with these is the Omega 3 fatty acid components. There are three different types of fatty acids that you can find in capsule form, and those are DHA, EPA and ALA.

Our bodies don’t produce Omega 3, so we must get them from the foods we eat or by taking supplements.  ALA  comes from plant sources, such as nuts, flax seed, or spinach.  DHA and EPA are found in fish or when we buy fish oil products.

Our brain is made up of 60% fat, with almost half of that being DHA.  The nervous system also needs Omega 3 fatty acids to function properly. The best fish oil to buy is one that has DHA in it, because DHA can be converted to EPA, but not the other way around.

So when you buy fish oil be sure the percentage of DHA per capsule is adequate.  Many manufacturers will use more EPA because it is easier to produce so their capsules may be less expensive, but you aren’t getting as much of the best kind of Omega 3 – the DHA.

You also want to buy fish oil that has been molecularly distilled, because this will ensure any contaminates like PCP’s and mercury are destroyed.   These dangerous toxic substances are found in the ocean and the fish oil contains them because that is where the fish live.

You should be able to read a COA or Certificate of Analysis that will tell you whether or not any of these toxic heavy metals are detected in the finished product.   That COA should be from an independent laboratory and readily available for you the consumer to find.

The fish oil you buy should also have low levels of oxidation to ensure freshness of the fish used.  When you buy fish oil look for the purest, thus the safest one you can buy. It should also be the most effective so you receive the highest benefits available.

The product I take is in the form of ester fish oil.  This one allows for bioavailabiliy for my body to readily absorb it for the greatest benefits.  To find out more about this fish oil and how you can benefit from taking it, check out my web site. You’ll find a lot of great information for better health.
