Diamond Hoops, Diamond Studs, And Other Diamond Earring Choices

There are a lot of different kinds of diamond earrings on the market for those women who just love this gemstone. Diamond hoops in many different designs and sizes, along with other earring types, are available on a lot of jewelry sites.

Diamond hoops, diamond studs, and a whole lot of other diamond earring styles can make the perfect gift for a daughter’s graduation from college, a gift for a loved one’s birthday, or even for your wife on your wedding anniversary. Whatever the occasion, diamonds always come across real well as a present, and giving them in the form of earrings can show your loved ones just how much you care about them.

Diamond Studs, Diamond Hoops, And Your Other Earring Choices

The selection for earrings can go on and on if you really scour the many online jewelry sites for diamond earrings. There are diamond studs, diamond dangling earrings, and diamond hoopsthat come in many different sizes. Your choice as to whether you should get diamond hoop earrings, diamond circle earrings, or even studs may depend on the person you are giving this kind of gift to. Diamond stud earrings are the simplest of the lot and may be the best bet for women who are of a conservative nature. If you are giving these earrings to a more flamboyant individual or someone who is into fashion a lot, then diamond hoops or even dangling earrings may do well as a gift of choice.

There are a number of sizes you may need to look at when you consider buying diamond hoop earrings for a gift. Since diamond hoop earrings may come in a small one inch diameter size to a rather sizable three inch diameter or so, you may need to ascertain what hoop size your recipient might feel comfortable wearing. The size of the diamond hoops you choose also dictates the number of diamonds that will be covering the hoop. This will also translate to a more expensive earring, so careful scrutiny of the diamond hoop earrings you are choosing is needed here before you take out your credit card and purchase the earrings you see.

Choosing the Right Kind of Earring

When you choose the kind of earrings you want to purchase, you will need to decide on how much you are willing to spend on this kind of a gift first. You will have to remember that the more elaborate and more flamboyant earring choices, like hoops and dangling earrings, often cost more than some studs or circle earrings simply because of the number of diamonds involved in the crafting of such items. Diamond hoops can come with the whole hoop having a single line of diamonds straddling the whole hoop from front to back.

There are also diamond earrings that have diamonds placed in the front part of the hoop alone. There are even hoops that have diamonds embedded inside the hoop itself, which means the diamond hoops are totally diamond encrusted. These kinds of earrings may cost you a bundle as compared to a pair of stud earrings. Stud earrings can also cost more than some gem-encrusted diamond hoop earrings —that is if the stud earrings you are planning on buying come with huge diamond studs that are of superior quality.

These earrings also cost more depending on the kind of precious metal being used to make them. There are hoops made of platinum and gold. There are also dangling and circle earrings made of a combination of these precious metals. Depending also on the kind of gold your hoops are made of, prices may rise or fall so you may need to consider this as part of your selection process.

Diamond Studs Earrings as a Fashion Statement

Diamond studs earrings are accessories that can be worn by both men and women. And more men are buying diamond studs earrings than ever before. The single beautifully cut diamond set in understated gold or silver proves to be a timeless, trendy and now also unisex piece of jewelry.

The traditional diamond studs earring consists of a round diamond with a wide variety of gold, platinum and silver settings, with or without other stones to set it off. The style can be selected to suit the occasion or the outfit, and many jewelers allow the customer to construct their own studs from loose diamonds and a selection of metals and setting styles.

Although the solitaire is generally regarded as the preferred type of diamond for this type of personal adornment, many people like the look of diamond stud earrings comprised of a large colored stone, such as an emerald or ruby, surrounded by a number of small individual diamonds.

The sophistication of a diamond studs earring lies in its simplicity, and you should try to avoid over-complication or too much embellishment. The stone should be clear and well cut, and the setting should be a simple three or four prong claw, as unassuming as possible in order to make the diamond the total focus of attraction. Also, it is of course important that it is a good quality real diamond; so it is always recommended to buy your jewelry from a reliable source, such as the Diamonds On Web on-line store.

In addition, make sure that you know your jewelry lingo. Some people can be misled by the term ‘diamond cut’, which only means that the stone is cut as a diamond would be and not necessarily that it is a real diamond. For example, if your diamond studs earring is below $100 and the diamond looks a reasonable size, then it is most likely not a real diamond.

Your diamond studs earring's metal is very much a matter of personal choice. Most people like 14 to 18 carat yellow gold, although white gold and platinum are also popular because many people feel that it sets the diamond off well and looks more luxuriant than ordinary gold.

The Diamonds On Web website offers a wide selection of diamond studs earrings, even gives you the option of creating your own diamond studs earrings online - Based on a varitey of quality loose diamonds. However you choose your diamond studs earring, it is a jewelry piece that makes a fashion statement for both men and women.
