So we are 16, and this is our first Christmas together. I'm a terrible shopper, but I've been browsing the internet trying to find something. Naturally I eventually thought of jewelry. We were both born in July, so I was thinking like a ruby pendant might be nice. It seems to me that a birthstone would be more of a birthday gift, but then I figured I could get her earrings to match on her birthday. So, a few questions:

1. Would a birthstone pendant be a good idea from a Christmas gift (coupled with a few other smaller things)?
2. We've only been going out for almost two months and we're only 16. Would her parents freak out if they saw me getting her a medium quality ruby pendant?

im unexperinced in thes.. my girlfriend told me that all she wanted for christmas from me was a picture , but i really want to give her a necklace, earrings or a ring mabye...
she was born in may so her birthstone is green, so should i give her something with a stone in green? but i really think that a whits stone would really go well with her, i dont know why but i think it would help like bring out her eyes more ( she has clear really bright eyes.. brown long hair) ... im not real sure ..
help?
