Who wants to try and solve some ancient India algebra problems?

Out of a swarm of bees 1/5 settled in a field, 1/3 settled on a stone. 3 times the difference of those numbers flew to the bloom of a Kataja flower. one bee which remained hovered in the air, tell me the number of bees.

8 rubies, 10 emeralds and 100 pearls are in a set of earrings. The sum of the prices of the 3 sorts of gems were 3 less then half a hundred. Tell me the price of each gem.

Good Luck! First person to write out the equations and get both questions right get best answer!

Boss invited the entire office to his home for dinner & I just KNOW my co-worker’s dress will beat my dress?

She always seems to show me up, no matter what I do! If I wear a black cocktail dress with spaghetti straps and matching pumps, she shows up in a strapless number with stiletto heels; if I wear diamond teardrop earrings and carry a Dior handbag, she will show up with a ruby choker and carrying a Gucci--I just can't win!

It is especially galling to me because she is always making snide remarks about how I don't have as feminine an appearance as she does. I admit, I am not all girly like she is, but does she have to rub it in my face?

Anyway, what are some suggestions for how I can show her up at the dinner party?

for women who have lost a child only pls?

My wife has worn an empty locket for 8 years to remember Emily, who lived a few hours before dying in mum's arms. In the past six months, she has separated from me, and found a new boyfirend. Also, our youngest child snagged her locket chain, and broke it.
Yesterday, she was sporting a new necklace. It is half of a medallion that she is sharing with her new boyfriend. I am absolutely thrilled that she has taken the step to wear a necklace other than the locket.
When we were married, I bought her a pair of ruby earrings that had a matching necklace. I gave her the earrings, but never bought her any necklaces. I figured I could buy the necklaces after she made the decision to wear something besides the locket. There is also a necklace to match rings I have bought her, and a bracelet, and etc.
Now I want to go back to the jeweler and buy the necklaces that complete the sets that I meant for her to have years ago. I don't though, want to 'celebrate' Emilys passing...suggestions?
