Girls answers please – what jewelry makes a good Christmas gift?

I’m looking to buy some type of jewelry for my girlfriend for a Christmas present. What type of jewelry would you like to receive as a gift? It’s hard to choose between the necklaces, earrings, bracelets… and so on. I think I’m going to get something with diamonds… but that’s as far as I’ve gotten. Even that could change. Suggestions?

A pendant, maybe with a star design or a three-stone representing past, present, and future. Lots of those in the shops.

it depends on your girl and what she likes/ wears a lot. Diamonds are however a girls best friend so you are headed down the right track.. i would steer clear of rings though or she might get the wrong message.

i think necklaces are the best present.
peopke see necklaces and often comment on them
    it’s a good ice breaker
and it will have her thinking of you every time she looks in the mirror

it has to be either a necklace or bracelet – not earrings!

it should be white gold, not yellow

and the diamonds should be subtle so that it looks elegant, sophisticated and expensive

    mine?

well…. your on the right track, my hubby never goes wrong with diamonds, however unless she already has an engagement ring I wouldnt suggest anything in a very small box. Id suggest a necklace and earings set. what does she wear often? take that into consideration also. Good Luck

I say earings are always nice, diamond studs you can wear all the time, same with simple necklaces, those journey of love necklaces or past present future ones are always great and pretty and meaningful. bracelets are iffy because they can easily be too fancy or you can worry about catching them on things and breaking them too easily so they dont get worn as often but earrings and or necklace always good

a delicate necklace is always good ;P
dont get earings.. because you never know.. (unless you do) some people are allergic to silver .. unless you get gold. then yu have no problem. other than that..
    bracelets are also really cute.

That depends on how long you’ve been with her and what she is into. I think almost every girl wants diamonds so you’re cool with that at least. But I would suggest a diamond bracelet or some type of necklace and diamond charm. Diamond stud earrings are ok too and PROBABLY a little less expensive. But if she has long hair she won’t really be able to show them off as much. (I mean they won’t be as noticeable) Anyway, even a tennis bracelet is nice or a rope chain?? Like I said it really depends on her taste.

Good luck I hope whatever you get she loves it, and I also hope she is worth the money.

I can only speak for myself but if you get her a necklace with a pendant, she’ll love it, not all girls like bracelets.

And as far as necklaces, you’ll find them in every price range and with or without diamonds and gemstones, white gold/yellow gold.

if you’re thinknig really fancy, a pair of princess cut diamond earrings (studs) is the way to go.

If you’r gilr is a trendy gilry girl then look at
They have some real pricy stuff but also affordable things.

Good luck and I must say you are a wonderful boyfriend researhing the perfect gift for her :)

Go for a nice diamond and gold pendant. A diamond ring means engagement – save it for later!

if you two are very serious then you could get her a dog tag with your names engraved on it and the dog tag could go on a chain to hang around her neck. or you could get your names engraved on any other piece of jewelry. if you’re not so serious a pretty diamond pendant on a necklace would be a good present or a bracelet with diamonds or pretty gems. something along that line, you could even get her a pretty ring.

if its not going to be an engagement or promise ring, than i would avoid buying a ring, especially if it has diamonds. necklaces are nice for most girls…but personally i prefer large jeweled necklaces with color to them. the small itsy bitsy diamond necklaces you buy can buy at zales just remind me of something cheap that my mom would wear. they don’t really make a statement, other than your too cheap or lazy to find a prettier necklace. bracklets are also a great option as well.

Try something with class….. not run of the mill. Antique Jewelry can be cheaper than new. Try sellers there give discounts when asked! Or your local pawn shop.

Diamonds are a nice fit……but, what about her birth stone ??
What month was she born in……go to any store that carries jewelry and check out what they carry in her birth stone……also, is she into things….like does she like teddy bears ?? so you know they make jewelry that look just like teddy bears….butterflies…..Everything is made out of really nice jewelry now…
What does she wear ??? That should help you figure out what to be looking for ~~
Check out….Sapphires….London topaz….these are beautiful stones…..not with a diamond price….Red Rubies have come down in price …quite a lot….very beautiful
Does she break out….when she wears different types of jewelry ??….
Does she like White Gold…or Yellow Gold…or Plat ??
They make high Quality Sterling Silver with nice stones on them….Seems to be the thing going for everyone…But, The most important thing is to make your girl happy….Ask questions….maybe her family ??…..Good Luck !!!!

I guess it would depend upon how serious you are about your girlfriend. Diamonds could be taken as a gift with serious long-term intentions, so be careful of that. Other gemstones can be good choices – does she have a favorite color? Birthstone jewelry might be nice. A pendant is a good choice. Try to find out how long the chain is on her favorite necklace and get something with the same length chain. Few women will turn their nose up at gold earrings.
