i don’t know. the only thing i like about them is that they’re sparkly. ive got a very,very,very,very small thing of ADD so i goggle at things that sparkle. im also OCD and it sucks…..

That is exactly the same question I’ve been asking. I don’t like jewelry, because it only represents social status and vanity. But people like them because they are somewhat rare (and if you have something rare that makes you special) and because they are shiny looking
In today’s society, people aren’t always aware of how gems are coming from. Many people like gems because they like to wear jewlery and showing off it. I guess that being rich, or at least look like it, is the latest trend….along with being sexy, smart, or popular…
