this is my dress, i'm getting it with the victorian lilac:

i'm going to have my hair up in some sort of bun, with a comb of flowers (purple iris, roses and maybe some other small flowers, i'm letting the florist do her thing).
so, my question is now for what kind of jewelry? i was thinking amyethist (its my birthstone). i dont want to spend a lot on it tho since i hardly wear it, so i was thinking something from overstock.com since its pretty cheap.
so here is what i'm thinking, need your imput

I got all of my wedding jewelry on overstock! Such better quality than those ‘wedding jewelry” sets. I like the teardrop earrings but am not sure if either necklace is really that formal, both very pretty but more something you would wear day to day. Maybe something more like this
First of all, with that neckline of your dress, I wouldn’t go for anything longer than a 10″ chain- that is the kind that is really close to your neck and barely drops down at all. Also, I wouldn’t go for any purple stones, as they will not match the Victorian lilac and you’ll get an effect of “too much purple.” In order to really make that lilac embroidery pop, I’d go with a neutral-colored stone, like a small diamond, or maybe a lovely single pearl.
Same goes for the earrings. I really like the style of the first choice you presented, but I would not pick purple and go with a diamond or pearl instead.

I love purple.
If you are not too fond of jewelry, you don’t HAVE to wear it with your gown… Especially since you will have flowers in your hair.. So you will still be accessorized…
But, if you choose to, I’m going to say “no necklace”.. Unless you try it on with the gown, it’s hard (in my opinion) to find a right necklace with a tube.. It would have to be something like this (again, in my opinion) for it to work:
You want something that is more circular as in the necklace itself (not the pendant), so that way it’s shorter and doesn’t lay too low on against the tube.
As for the earrings.. I absolutely adore these..
They are a gorgeous color, and they are drop earrings… In case you do go without a necklace… If you go with a necklace, I say these:

Ohmigod we have the same dress!!! And mine is with purple too, except the actual purple instead of the Victorian Lilac. Don’t you just LOVE your dress?
That said, I might check back in and steal some of the other posters’ ideas about jewelry because I’ve actually been looking for purple jewelry as well. I say necklace 1 looks great and I love the first earrings too. I already bought colorless crystal chandelier earrings, now really struggling to find an amethyst necklace and can’t decide on the hair.
I’m so excited someone has the same dress as me!
