I'm getting my helix / rim/ cartilage on my left ear done next month for my birthday!
I'm extremely excited, but I don't know what type of earring I should get?

- Barbell or Stud?
- Sterling silver or gold/ birthstone?
ALSO how much does it HURT?!
is there a lot of blood at all?
Should I get my second lobe hole the same day or wait?
If wait, how long?!

Do not pierce with a gun! All professional piercers recommend against that. You’re more prone to getting an infection.
If you go to a professional piercer, they will recommend a barbell for you. Once it heals, it may be better to change it out to a ring, or whatever you like.
It doesn’t hurt much more than a lobe piercing, but it all depends on your pain tolerance. Mine didn’t hurt at all. If you feel like you can take two piercings the same day, go ahead. Make sure you eat before the piercing.
Healing time would be 4 to 6 weeks, depending on your body as well. You’d want to soak your new piercings in warm sea salt water; never use rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide!
Congratulations and I hoped I helped!
do whatever your please, as for pain everyone has a different pain tolerance, but really that little bit of pain is worth it. I got my second holes done the same day so it doesn’t matter, really its all your choice.
No big deal, no pain no blood. Do use a stud at first
Well when you get it done it will be sore after wards. But cartilage hurts a bit more on some people but i would wait till the 1st peircing is feeling ok. Like not as sore and is in good shape.
