My best friend, Shelby Jones, is SERIOUSLY mad at me. She's really just mad at me because I'm mad at her. But I keep appologizing and stuff, but she never accepts. I've tried notes, emails, talking to her, having my friends talk to her, and having her friends talk to her. NOTHING HAS WORKED! I don't know what to do. How do you think I could get her to forgive me. This whole fight is REALLY killing me. We've been best friends for six years, and I can't let that end. Not so soon, anyway. Plus, her birthday is August 10, and I'm getting her a ring with matching earrings. Do you think I should get her rubies, diamonds, or emeralds, or what? And do you think I should let her friend, Mickela, (who is TOTALLY trustworthy) take the present to her party? I mean, how else will I get it to her if we're in a fight? HELP!!!?
I am mad at her because she read notes that my other best friend, Ashley wrote to me saying who Ashley liked when I told her not to, and she is mad at me because I stayed clear of her because we were in a fight before, and I didn't know if we were still fighting. I'm not trying to buy her friendship back, just giving her a present I've been planning for a long time. I am in seventh grade, and she is in sixth. This is the longest fight we've ever been in--and it's only lasted six days so far. We've always been really close, and I don't want our friendship to end. I don't think she does either, but I don't know why she won't forgive me.

Let her come to you when she’s ready to accept your apology. A present will not help her to come around. It sounds like she is acting immaturely so maybe you just have to wait until she grows up a little bit. Totally keep the nice jewelry to yourself!!

My EX-friend was totally that way. She got mad at me because I was mad at her because she went behind my back and told people that I was a religious guru because I loved Jesus and God. A week after the fight school was over. Just give her some time and everything will straighten out. My friend and I gradually made a mutual agreement to be friends again but I didn’t want to hang out with those type of people anymore. Don’t expect her to accept you back just like that. Talk to your friends about it and tell them to maybe try to persuade her without mentioning that you told them to. Hope my advice helped!

Let her come to you when she is ready. There is nothing else you can do. Just don’t talk about this with anyone. Start talking about everything and everyone else but her.

Give her some cooling off time, dear…..Have your mom or somebody drop off the present, if you actually feel the need to try to buy back her friendship…..

why don’t you take her out to a movie or lunch and bury the hatchet

I am going through the same thing. There is really nothing more you can do. In the end it comes down to a maturity level and who is more mature. You said you were sorry and if she cannot accept that then you need to leave it alone. It is going to be very tough but you cannot force anybody to do anything. If you were true/real friends, you would not be writing this question asking for help. You two would have already worked it out and moved on. As far as the gift, I would not give her anything is she is not willing to talk to you. You cannot buy your friend back.
